Today we were stricken with the travel blues. We made our way from Salzburg, Austria to Bern, Switzerland.
When we arrived to our hotel, they informed us that there was no wifi or air condition. PANIC. Normally, no AC wouldn't be awful, but considering its in the upper 90s here it's pretty awful. Hopefully we will survive.
After we checked in, we made our way to Starbucks. This was the first place we went after arriving where there was both food and wifi. We mooched off their wifi, Emily ate two croissants and Mari ate two bagels. We left feeling pretty satisfied.
After that, we went the Old Town for a little while just to check it out. We stopped at McDonald's just to get a drink and we were quickly reminded of how expensive Switzerland is. A medium drink is $4.15 and a snack wrap is over $13. We may starve here. We got a quick view of the city and then came back to our hotel. We were able to purchase wifi for a small fee, so we decided it would be worth it.
Another boring travel day for you! Hopefully we will have something more exciting tomorrow.
